Tethera Nook - a beautifully crafted retreat

Tethera Nook is the South East wing of Hylands with wonderful views. Set over three floors, surrounded by beautiful gardens, it has been renovated with great care, to the highest standard of design, using quality materials and finishes. It is a place to rest and unwind, to wander and sit in a garden full of wildlife, to gaze at the ever-changing views. It is 12 minutes walk from Kendal town center's many independent shops and restaurants and 5 minutes walk to our local pub the Rifleman's Arms.

Enjoy a relaxing break in a beautiful Victorian townhouse in Kendal's historic conservation area, with lovely views over the town & nearby hills. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the large garden or take a 5 minute stroll into the town centre with its restaurants, coffee shops, bars and a wide variety of independent shops. Wander around the ancient castle, look for otters by the river or head off into the National Park to the tourists hotspots-there are frequent trains and buses nearby. Enjoy!

The space The studio, is set within a newly converted barn, with its own entrance on the quiet edge of the Lake District, a few steps from a wood-fired sauna and a wild swimming pool. Modern, serene and quietly luxurious, perfect for a couple or up to three friends as a mini retreat. It can also comfortably accommodate a family of four. A twin double bed, a sofa bed, a dining area, a deep bath in the en-suite bathroom, light cooking facilities., parking and easy access into the Lakes.

A private flat which compromises of a large suite of rooms on the top floor of my Georgian Grade II listed house in Kendal town centre, quietly tucked away at the head of an historic cobbled yard. . 1 double bedroom and one king bedroom plus a huge adjoining living room (with basic kitchenette and double sofa bed) as well as a modern bathroom all for your exclusive use during your stay at Colour House. Pretty cottage, quiet location in view of the River Kent. All amenities walking distance with regular access to the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales. Kendal Castle minutes away, a nearby hotel offers pool and gym. Kendal hosts Brewery Arts Centre, one of leading arts centres in the UK. Parking is in front of the house. Welcoming guests from all nationalities, faiths and backgrounds, sadly no pets in the cottage. Children welcome with books/games/ toys adapted to age.

Fellside Nook

Fellside Nook is nestled above various ginnels and characterful old properties (5 -10 mins walk from Kendal Town Centre) and just below the Tram and Serpentine woods which offer lovely walks and hikes up on to the golf course and Cunswick and Scout Scars. Steeped with history, Kendal Market Town offers a variety of independent shops, restaurants, museums, cafes and bars. Kendal is conveniently located for the Lake District National Park and the Yorkshire Dales.

No.26 is a traditional cottage situated on Greenside, which is a beautiful picturesque area of Kendal. The cottage overlooks the village green and consists of a cosy sitting room with log burner, kitchen/dining room, and WC on ground floor. The first floor accommodates a beautifully decorated double bedroom and spacious bathroom. The property benefits from an exterior porch and utility room which provides secure storage space for boots, bikes or golf clubs.

The town centre is only a 5 min walk away, with a wide range of shops, bars and restaurants. Countryside walks are close by on Cunswick Scar, Scout Scar and Serpentine Woods. The location is also great for easy access to Windermere and the Lake District. Please note no pets & no smoking.
