A dramatic waterfall surrounded by lush vegetation which almost feels tropical. There is a viewing platform situated 150 feet above the gorge or you can walk to the bottom for a closer view.

Stanley Ghyll Force is a 60-foot-high waterfall set in an extraordinary deep, narrow gorge, where rhododendrons growing on craggy ledges and precipices provide an eastern backdrop. The force is accessed either from the car park at the Dalegarth Station of the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, or the National Trust car park. Extreme care is needed in places, as the path is steep and unfenced.

Perfect walk for a rainy day, feels like a tropical rain-forest.

Possibly one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Lake District. It's less than 2 miles there and back from Dalegarth Station.

Amazing 60ft high waterfall cut in a dramatic and narrow gorge just a short walk across the road from Boot village. You can also follow the Esk river from here carving its way through the valley as it makes it way downstream. This area is well sign-posted and family friendly to experience an easy but rewarding hike through some of the stunning Lake District landscape.
