Travel back in time on this steam railway, which travels to the southern tip of lake Windermere. You can then climb aboard a steamer crossing the lake towards Bowness or Ambleside. If you’ve not been to the lakes before this is a must do combined trip !

You can visit the Ruskin museum or walk down to the lake shore where you will find the bluebird cafe and various boat trips / water sports. Sitting just below "The Old Man of Coniston" there are also some great walks from here.
