The Red Train Carriage

Brian made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. The location was brilliant to watch the steam trains go by ....definitely the highlight! Carriage was a unique experience with a very comfortable bed and was exactly as described. The weather was fabulous too, would love to return and do it all again!

Bez was a fantastic host, meeting us when we checked in, giving lots of information of where to walk and what to do. The tram is beautifully restored and was a lovely little getaway for me and the missus. Lots of great hills to walk around the area, would highly recommend this to anyone

The Toad…Quirky train stay with wood fired hot tub

A great little place for a peaceful getaway, quite a unique place on an old train carriage, lots to do around and a helpful guide in the carriage point you in the right direction. Very helpful hosts too, we had an issue one night with the electrics and sent a message not expecting a reply until morning, however we received not only a reply, but the problem was resolved straight away! Will 100% be visiting again!

The GWR Wagon, King's Cross, Nr Ludlow.

The GWR Wagon was like a little slice of paradise. It was so peaceful and quiet. I spent every evening on the deck watching the red kite soar around. The wagon itself was beautifully decorated, and pristine. The bed was so comfy, and I loved being able to sit on the sofa at breakfast and watch the birds have their breakfast from the bird feeders provided. I'll definitely be back for another stay

UNIQUE HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE IN A RAILWAY CARRIAGE!

St Austell's hidden gem! We are so pleased we stumbled upon this quirky, off grid stay nestled in the valley. My wife and I, our 3 children 3,4 and 6 and our dog Winnie all fitted comfortably into the carriage. The boys loved the bunk beds and our eldest took the twin room at the other end of the carriage. We had the double! The weather wasn't great so we had the little woodburner on its the morning and before bed, and the kids loved helping us build the fire. It was our first time using an eco loo, which is not for everyone but I loved it! Fantastic warm outdoor shower added an element of luxury to the stay. There was also a lot of open outdoor space which the kids loved cycling around on. Great opportunity to get the kids away from screens, and our eldest is now addicted to Uno! For us, the carriage was a great intro into off grid living and we found the experience good value for money. Thank you Chris & Jo! The Duseks.

We came here for our little honeymoon after our wedding, it was absolutely everything we were after, quiet, private and beautiful views. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. Clara gave us perfect directions how to get there as it would be difficult to find without! We’ve had a few people ask us for the link to the listing wanting to book and we’ve recommended to everyone. Brill few days!

We had a really wonderful stay in the carriage.. it was quirky and great.. Steve was a great host, showed us around and told us the history... There was photos to look at showing the building work that occurred a real labour of love.. everything we needed was in the carriage. A very comfortable stay.

Lydham Heath Railway Carriage

This campsite is a hidden gem, we stayed in one of the quirky railway carriages it was so cute the attention to detail was perfect, loved the warm lighting and quaint decor with great views of the Shropshire surrounding hills with the opportunity to sit out in the evenings with a fire pit not many sites allow fires so this was fab. Adam and Brigid were so helpful, we loved the eco details at the site and the effort they have put in to make this site a wildlife haven. They have planted lots of native trees which separate each area and made the whole site look so beautiful. It was only 5 mins walk out of the campsite to join the Shropshire way and Bishops Castle town is so close with all the shops that you need plus a few eclectic ones that you didn’t know you needed! We will definitely come back again

Haystore- Luxury Railway Carriage with Hot Tub

Having never booked an Air B&B before and having just celebrated our wedding anniversary, I decided to treat myself and my wife to a nights stay! Having always loved the West Country and after reading the reviews about “The Haystore” I decided to give it a try! We both absolutely loved it! Situated within the grounds of the cleanest dairy farm I have ever been in, and overlooking beautiful countryside was a very tastefully renovated traditional train carriage complete with hot tub. Appliances were perfect for a short getaway. It was clean and perfectly equipped. We used the bicycles that were provided and cycled to the local pub for some drinks and admired the surrounding properties and countryside. We then enjoyed the use of the hot tub whilst enjoying their home made Sloe gin! In the morning we were able to sit and drink a coffee and watch the wild Hares in the meadow. Super relaxing and absolutely beautiful! Thank you!

Very happy with the accommodation easy check in and very clean, new facilities. Toilets and showers were spotlessly clean and everything you need at hand. Would definitely stay again.

The Railway Carriage is unique. It's so cozy and lovingly decorated, it really makes you feel welcome! The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. There is a huge outside area and parking right in front of the accommodation. A lot of interesting sights can be reached within short driving distance. Sam provided excellent information and was very helpful. Thank you for an utterly relaxing time!

It was simply amazing and such a privilege to stay in a converted Victorian carriage. It’s all very laid back and friendly and you are not interferes with in anyway but the hosts are easy to find if you need them. A must for a train lover. The carriage was clean and though fully furnished with the added luxury of fresh flowers and a welcome pack. We will definitely be recommending

Lovely peaceful stay in the railway carriage! Stunning views and a short walk into town. Well thought and laid out campsite, well worth a visit. The Castle Hotel has a pretty beer garden, also worth a visit.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay, it was a beautiful setting. It was lovely to wake up to see the alpacas and sheep every morning. In warm weather the carriage does get quite hot but there are plenty of windows and a double doors which helps it cool down a lot. The kitchen is small but we were able to cook some lovely meals using the hob. There is so much to do in the surrounding area with Chichester a very close drive away, we would definitely recommend staying in this place.

We had a fantastic stay at the Foxglove Carriage which was made even better by the fabulous weather! Multiple trips down to Lyme Regis beach with a 20 minute drive each way and a lovely visit to a local pub. The carriage and adjacent bathroom were spotless and ideal for a two night stay. The wildlife on the farm was superb and ability to sit around the fire at night while stargazing was a luxury. The pool was in the process of being warmed up but I braved a dip in the morning and the sauna does take quite a while to heat up. Only one thing to note and I am sure it has been said before but this AirBnB is located in a very rural and remote area outside of Axminster on a farm that requires quite a lot of driving down single track lanes. Clara is extremely helpful and does her best to advise on the route to take but if you are not a confident driver you may struggle. This is not to take away from how great the AirBnB and location is!

Loved our visit, the views are incredible, the Hut is very cosy and well stocked ( loved the Welsh cakes and hot chocolate) thank you ! The wood burner is a great touch and easy to use The bed is very comfy Great base for some fab walks in the local area. We did not use the hot tub but it's looks lush We would highly recommend .

I had an incredible stay at this Airbnb hosted by an outstanding host. The place felt like it had just been built, exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The host went above and beyond, providing logs for the wood burner and being extremely helpful whenever we needed assistance. Our toddler had a blast interacting with the friendly cows on the property. The location is perfect for exploring the Cotswolds, with beautiful walks just a stone's throw away. I can't wait to return; this experience was truly exceptional.
