We had a lovely overnight stay in the Shepherds hut. Stella went out of her way to leave everything we asked for. We were looking for a unique stop over o. The way home from camping in the lakes. Joseph’s shepherds hut was chosen and it was a great choice. We had great directions and it’s a lovely quiet setting. A short walk into the village was nice to explore. Once back we had an evening meal using the cooking facilities and played Monopoly with logs crackling on the small log burner ( all supplied cut for free). We slept well and out son commented on how nice it was to hear the birds waking him up. Stella & Ian let us enjoy our surroundings uninterrupted. Really nice memory added to our trip. Just wish we had more time to try the restaurants in the village.

Ian and Donna's space is special. As soon as you enter, you get this wholesome feeling. The space is built to share, with a beautiful octagon living room and kitchen at the core of the build. There are so many amazing outdoor seating areas in adventurous nooks of the garden, which is so well looked after. I am a converted Sauna man after this trip. I loved going from the wood fire cabin to the freezing cold shower and back. The Hot Tub was a great addition too. We booked this Airbnb with the expectation that we wouldn't need to leave, and it kept up with that expectation. We played many a garden game, including Croquet and Kubb (Scandinavian game, check it out!) and Maria (private chef that was connected with us via Ian and Donna) was a superstar and cooked a 5-star meal. All in all great weekend. Just wish it were a bit closer to London!

Me, my partner and pooch had a wonderful 2 days with Martin's beautiful van. An exceptional, responsive, caring host. Check in was easy, with a Youtube video showing us around the van and how to use everything. The van drove beautifully, had everything we needed and was easy to use. Very comfortable and warm. I would highly reccommend and would use again. Thanks Martin!

Lovely van stocked with everything you need for your trip. Great, in-depth video for check in so you know how to operate everything before you get there. Martin was really helpful with advice for advice on the area for our first trip to the Lakes. We look forward to doing another one in the future.

Absolutely beautiful location if you are looking for peace and tranquility, surrounded by nature. Red squirrel seen most days! Caravan is retro compact and quirky, loved it. Everything you need, towels and torch provided too. Borrowdale hotel nearest for food and drink approximately half mile along road but we favoured Mary’s Mount about a mile away by car/walk or a 20minute trail walk across the marshes. Recommend taking larger mugs if you like a bigger brew than 60’s style cups! Nearest supermarket is Booths in Keswick, everything you need in there and an easy to park large car park, 1hr free . Fantastic walks and climbs right from the door and lots of information given about this in the caravan. Enjoy.

We had a lovely peaceful week at Simone’s caravan. It was clean and had lovely views with a short walk to an amazing beach.

A really lovely experience. Never done anything like this before so wasn’t sure what to expect. We had a warm welcome from the hosts who answered all our questions. Liz was very informative before our arrival. Murdock is so much fun, everyone should give it a go x

I just want to say a big thank you to Jo and her dad for building a fully off grid shepherds hut that is beautiful inside and out. We booked very last minute due to an issue where we were camping, Jo quickly accepted our request and communicated with us in a prompt and friendly manner. We arrived at Jo’s hut at nearly 8pm and she went above and beyond making sure we were looked after and was waiting for us to show us the basics which was a lovely touch. The hidaway hut has been crafted in a way that you have everything you need should you forget anything. Jo is extremely friendly and attentive and will make sure you have a lovely stay! Although it was a short stay of only a few hours we had such a good nights sleep and will definitely be coming back in the future!

Sadly only at Saras place 2 nights while in area. Brilliant first time in a campervan. The van was spotless and Martin was a great guy to deal with. We had a lovely time exploring the lovely Lake District and wild swimming. The van was easy to drive and amazing on fuel! We will definitely hire it again in the future! Thank you

Beautiful place, managed to catch 3 fish too to add to a very lovely weekend. We will be recommending to everyone we know! Lovely weather so got a sunrise and sunset too! Everyone on site was so welcoming too which added to our experience. Would definitely return!

What a lovely lodge set in large log cabin Park. The lodge itself was beautiful, very clean comfortable spacious and modern. The kitchen had everything you need inc a dishwasher washing machine/dryer and a full size American fridge. The welcome pack and wine was a nice touch and the hot tub stayed hot throughout our stay. There’s a woodland walk 50yrds from the lodge which was fantastic for our dogs. What a perfect getaway home from home and great value for money. Thank you Rebekah 🙂

We had a fantastic weekend stay here with our 11-year-old and two dogs. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed — the unexpected upgrade and cold beers waiting for us were such a thoughtful touch! The property is even better than the photos, with absolutely stunning views that we enjoyed throughout our stay. Both the outside fire pit and the cozy indoor log burner made for perfect evenings, whether we were roasting marshmallows under the stars or winding down inside. The pod was spotless, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable, relaxing getaway. Our son had a great time exploring, and the dogs were in heaven with all the outdoor space. Highly recommend this place for families, pet owners, or anyone just looking to unwind in a beautiful setting. We’ll definitely be back!

What a gorgeous place to stay! My partner found this listing and booked a long weekend for us and our dog, and it couldn't have been nicer. The photos and the listing describe the hut perfectly, and Hilary and Nigel are really friendly, responsive, and provided lots of recommendations. There's a detailed information booklet when you check in with local recommendations, which was greatly appreciated. The hut is cosy, and we never worried about being cold. The private garden was perfect for relaxing after a hike, and we were even lucky enough to see a red squirrel! It's secluded but doesn't feel isolated. We were able to have some really nice meals with the one burner, and it was fab to have a freezer! Definitely a small space, but it had everything we needed without feeling cramped (even with a fairly large greyhound!). We're looking forward to staying here again 😊

Loved this wee hut so much I booked an extra night and now that I'm home I'm really quite sad to have left it. Raewyn is an excellent host, very responsive and very helpful which is always appreciated. I'm a solo traveller and spending 3 nights in this place has been magical for me. The location is perfect and you have everything you need in the hut. The toilet, sink and shower is such an amazing added bonus too. I also caught my first perch here and I've blanked for almost a year haha so I honestly can't fault anything about my trip. I wish I was still there :( Thank you for such an amazing experience. I can't wait to return! ❤️

We loved our stay for a night in Molly. Molly has all the essential things you need for a day and feels very cosy. Would recommend for only 2 people travelling as Molly is small in size. We would love to come back again for stay in Molly.

Wonderful stay in an enchanting place. Stay here is you want a gorgeous, well appointed , unique, accommodation in a rural location. The host was really welcoming and came to meet us the first night to get to know us. We only wish we had a few more days there!

Thank you so much to Gary and family for a perfect stay, we wanted something different for my best friends birthday and it was so lovely! Gary was so helpful from the beginning, even put out banners and prosecco for when we arrived, we loved being surrounded by the animals and the view from the adorable caravan was so relaxing. So much thought and care was put into every single aspect of our stay and we will definitely recommend to our friends and family, we hope to come back at some point soon :)

Perfect place to be able to get to surrounding areas quick and easy. Was very easy to find and communication was great from Michelle. David was great when popping over to show us around and sorting us out with any questions we had. The pub that the campsite is attached to is lovely too and beautifully decorated. Thanks for the stay and being very accommodating. Will stay again!
