Venture up stone steps to a cosy cottage for 2. Cruise is a small self-catering holiday cottage located above the old stables in the traditional farmyard. A listed building recently converted with the care of Cumbrian craftsmen - lime plastered wiggly walls, oak floors, handcrafted oak doors and stairs, hand forged latches and handles. Situated in the Lake District with panoramic views from the door over the orchard, across fields of sheep and beyond to the North Pennines and Howgills.

The Byre at Grange Farm, a rural hideaway retreat

The Byre at Grange Farm is a cosy characterful rural hideaway retreat for a couple or family up to 4 people. It is a totally private annex next to our main farmhouse in the picturesque village of Bampton Grange in the Lake District. The accommodation is all open plan with TV(freeview), woodburner & comfy sofas opening up to a breakfast bar, newly appointed kitchen & shower room. On request we can offer an evening meal / breakfast basket filled with homemade and locally sourced goodies!

It's 5miles from Ullswater, in the conservation area of Helton, with views across the Lowther Valley, garden and scenic walks from the house. We take extra care of you by cleaning the barn ourselves to maintain high standards, at no extra charge. Living next door, we’re also on hand with helpful local knowledge, to answer any questions if needed.
