Enjoy a day full of history and adventure at Old Fort Jackson or Fort Pulaski. Old Fort Jackson is a must-see historical landmark which features interactive programs for the whole family! Experience cannon firings and weapon demonstrations at one of the oldest standing brick fortifications on the East Coast. Fort Pulaski also hosts cannon firings and weapon demonstrations, and on top of that, there are nature trails and guided tours! To help children learn more about the fort and its history, Fort Pulaski offers a Junior Ranger program, which allows kids ages 6-12 to explore the fort and create a special relationship with it and its history. Details: Admission to Fort Jackson is $7 per adult

The state's oldest remaining fort dates back to 1808 and includes a number of Civil War and other military exhibits. Daily cannon firing programs are offered at 11:00am and 2:00pm.
