To access one of the easier 10K hikes in the alps , which nevertheless is among the most breathtakingly beautiful for its panorama. (Only pay for the cable car in good weather)

This hike runs almost exclusively along the ridge close to the Swiss-Italian border. A unique feature is the view from the summit of Monte Lema right at the start: To the one side, Lake Lugano sparkles far below and to the other side Lake Maggiore, both picturesquely embedded in the mountains of southern Ticino.

From monte lema you can have a look to the whole region, three lakes and if you are lucky you will see the dome of Milan!

Between sky and mountains, Monte Lema (1,621 m) is a mountain of the Lugano Prealps, located on the border between Switzerland and Italy. Its summit can easily reached by cable car from the village of Miglieglia (Ticino). Scenic views on Lago di Lugano and Lago Maggiore.
