Elm trees! Melbourne has excellent stands of elm trees and this park has some of the best of them. It is a traditional park in the English style complete with central rotunda, & children's playground

Surrounded by large open lawns and leafy canopies, the charming Darling Gardens is a short ride down Hoddle Street. Large, open areas, gorgeous trees, and well maintained. Next door is a tennis court and bowls club. Across the street are a strip of shops, with nice deli, IGA supermarket, and liquor store. Great to spend an afternoon here on a budget.
