Lovely beach - better at low tide - long "board walk", lovely shoreline, family-friendly, food truck for ice cream and snacks available usually. (5 min walk from Beach Haven!)

Sandy Long Beach in Gloucester is a local favorite! Parking is restricted to residents, so we recommend using a taxi. (Direct them to Cape Ann Motor Inn at 33 Rockport Rd, Gloucester, MA 01930)

This is a little further out of town, but is a nice long beach spanning from Rockport to Gloucester. Another beautiful beach, with a relaxed vibe in Rockport (and Gloucester) is Long Beach. It is backed by a retaining wall topped with summer cottages. You'll have great views of Thacher Island's twin light houses. Parking fee.

While parking can be difficult here, this gorgeous beach is perfect for long walks and/or lazy afternoons.
