Stroll the lush grounds of Fall Creek Vineyards and take a nice long break with a crisp Sauvignon Blanc or a luxurious red Tempranillo on their one of their stone patios overlooking the gardens. Their lovely tasting room has the look and feel of a welcoming country cottage, with comfortable rooms to find a private spot in front of the fireplace to reminisce and ruminate with someone special. While you sample and sip, munch on local nuts and chocolate from Austin or try a chef-prepared cheese plate or antipasto platter. Fall Creek is located directly across the street from the Famous Salt Lick BBQ and features wine from Salt Lick vineyards as well as vineyards from all over Texas.

Fall Creek has a very nice selection of wines. Some very nice blends too. They do have busy times, but otherwise offer good accommodation for tastings for small and larger groups. Good idea to call ahead with very large groups. Yes, this can be a tourist’s “trap” as located across from the Salt Lick. Excellent pairing for bbq and wine. So plan wisely and you will have a nice couple of hours.
