This museum has a wealth of information in relation to the town's past, as well as many artefacts and is staffed by very pleasant people, who have an amazing interest in the locality.

Situated in a 19th Century building, this centre traces the history of Westport and the Clew Bay area from pre-christian times to the present. Artefacts, documents and photographs connected with the Westport area provide a basis for the presentation of local history, custom and traditions.
