Campo del Ghetto nuovo is the hart of Cannaregio, Venice's second largest district (after Castello). Most tourists do not go beyond “ Strada Nuova”, the busy shopping street between the railway station and Rialto Bridge. Get lost in the Ghetto, the world’s oldest Jewish neighbourhood with its synagogues and Jewish museum. “Fondamenta della Misericordia” is offering many nice restaurants with a terrace at the water side, ideal on hot summer evenings.

If you are interested in the Jewish history, the Jewish Museum in the Jewish Ghetto will surely satisfy your curiosity. Please note that the Museum is closed on Saturday.
