Housed in a vast flight of stone steps known as the Cascade, this arts centre is one of the city's major cultural attractions. Originally conceived in the 1920s by Soviet architect Alexander Tamanyan as part of his plan to modernise Yerevan, work on the monumental structure finally commenced in the 1980s but stalled after the 1988 earthquake. Lots of really fun modern art, and the vast majority of it is on display for free in the outdoor gardens, on the level areas of the outdoor steps, and inside along the escalators. Great views of the city at each level on the way up, and if you climb the stairs and go up to the top of the hill, you'll be rewarded with even more great outdoor artworks.
you can walk and go upstairs from where the mount ARARAT will smile to you, fresh air and interesting sculptures are waiting you above, in all sections you can find fountains and sculptures, when you are tired from every section there is a door to escalators. when You reach the pick of the stairs you will see the Victory park.
One of the most beautifully curated open-air galleries with so much to see. Breathtaking views of the city from the top of the Cascade is also a must if you are visiting Yerevan!
