Huntington Castle is set on over 160 acres of gardens, woodland and farmland. The Castle of Ireland features a fascinating guided tour which explains its 17th-century history. The tour also features the world famous Temple of Isis located in the old castle dungeons. The Castle of Ireland offers a fabulous woodland playground, as well as a charming tearoom and gift shop. (24 km). There is also a fabulous restaurant Sha-Roe Bistro located in the town of Clonegal, near the Castle. You do need to book in advance but if you are planning ahead, you won't be disappointed.
