The closest ski hill to Nelson's Nest is about 5 minutes away. Fall color ski lift rides for $10/person starting Sept 12th weekend. (Under 10yrs free!)

With 45 runs, 622 ft of vertical drop, 9 chairlifts, 2 full-service bars & restaurants, and 1 terrain park, this is a great resort to visit. Located just a 10-minute drive from our Powderhorn Porch.

For over 50 years Big Powderhorn Mountain has been a premier downhill ski experience. Perfectly groomed runs, novice to expert levels and all around family friendly experience. Big Powderhorn Mountain Resort is 8.4 miles from Our Finnish Farmhouse. About a 15 minute drive.
