This is a gorgeous park with waterfront trails and kayak rentals; hiking paths through large Pacific Northwest forests with overlooks of the Puget Sound. My children have both seen pods of orcas from the beach! We have also seen whales.

Very popular, with something for everyone; Five Mile Drive, Rose Garden, Steps and Ladders. Great for dogs and kids.

Point Defiance Park is just a few minutes away. There are trails to walk, large trees, beaches, picnic areas and a zoo.
