Elmwood Park welcomed tens of thousands of Italian immigrants in the 1910s-1940s. One of them was Angelo Caputo who opened his grocery store with his wife in 1958. Walk through the store and you will be sure to fill up your shopping cart with fruits, vegetables, cheese, olive oil, pasta and bread. Go to the deli counter and get yourself a quarter-pound of thinly sliced prosciutto and cheese.

In my opinion, the most complete local grocery story. Angelo Caputo's specializes in Italian food, but they offer much more. Great produce, amazing deli and sushi bar, and delicious bakery are good highlights. Bring home hot and professionally crafted entrees plus cereal, milk, and other necessities.

Caputo's has the best prices and fresh produce within a reasonable distance to our AirBnb. They offer hot plates, bakery, deli, excellent produce, flowers, alcohol, and more at a very reasonable price.
