private photography collection owned by Pilara Foundation. Must go to www.pier24.org well in advance of your trip. The gallery is free, open monday - thursday by reservation only.

This museum is NOT to be missed! They are privately funded and limit the number of visitors as you MUST have an appointment. Their exhibits are changed every 6-8 weeks. On the Embarcadero almost under the Bay Bridge.

This is an amazing art gallery specializing in photos. Their collection is astonishing. They do thematic shows. FREE but you must make an appointment before showing up. One of my must-see's.
