Din Tai Fung is our go to Chinese restaurant for dumplings - they have all kinds of scrumptious dumplings. In addition, they have delicious noodle soups, vegetables, and fried rice and noodles. And it's nearby in South Coast Plaza.

ASAIN: Delicious!! But beware the wait is long! It is located in the South Coast Plaza mall so it's best to go to South Coast Plaza 2-3 hours before you plan to eat, put your name on the list, do some shopping, and then go the restaurant when they say your table is almost ready. Or you can wait in line for the bar (it's usually a shorter wait). My favorites here are the chicken fried rice, the spicy wonton soup, and the mochi chocolate xiao long bao (to die for!).

XiaoLongBao (Juicy Dumplings). Located near Sears. Good for breakfast or lunch. Go early or during non-peak times to avoid lines.
