Rabelais specializes in cookbooks from the new printing of an old favorite to historic artifacts. Don, the owner, trades in historic cookbooks so the selection is always interesting. Hours are not obvious, so call ahead. It is best to pair with a trip to Palace Diner, where you will probably find Don getting breakfast before his shift.

Named by Bon Appetit as the "Best Cookbook Shop in America," but that doesn't even begin to tell the story...Don and Sam not only know books, they are experts on food and the local food scene!
