Next to the Art Queen of Joshua Tree is a small gate. Open the gate (It says "Enter") and follow it to the World Famous Crochet Museum! It's off the main drag in the Village near several art galleries.

The crochet museum is a unique, one of a kind place that’s totally free to visit. It’s a small room filled with tons of crochet figures. You can’t touch them but it’s so fun to step inside and be immersed in this quirky world!

Some people think Shari makes these crochet animals. She does not. You see, she doesn't really know how to knit or crochet. However, she wants to learn. She recently had a lesson with our "Art, Not Walmart" group where she learned how to make a long crochet chain. She's pretty happy with this new ability and she thanks Suzanne for the lesson.

"Among the eclectic collection you’ll find just about every conceivable type of item, represented in crochet form. There are animals like poodles, bears, and unicorns. There are also more abstract designs, like smiley faces and lumpy little creations that are less identifiable. The upbeat collection celebrates the eclectic tastes of its owner as much as it does the art of crochet. With few other contenders to for the title, this little roadside oddity may just be as famous as its sign claims." The museum is free and open 24/7. It's located toward the back of a vacant lot, near the Joshua Tree Saloon. From the entrance gate, keep heading to the back of the lot. There is free parking as well.

A (free) cute and very small crochet museum! There are a few other shops/art installations nearby as well. The World Famous Crochet Museum is around a 4 minute walk from the visitor center. It's hidden in the back of a small storefront. You need to walk through a gate, where you'll walk on an artsy pathway. Then eventually, you'll see a dusty clearing where the World Famous Crochet Museum stands.
