A nice place if you want to do a jog along the water. There's plenty of free parking. Depending on the time of year you may see some wildlife: deers, otters, beavers, cranes. Stay on the path and don't get too close to the water though one time I saw a gator.
The Columbia Riverwalk is a 3 mile paved, scenic walk along the canal with parking at either end. There is a grassy area at the downtown end, and a more wooded side path that begins about halfway down towards the other end, a a view of the Broad River dam at the other end. This is a fantastic place to stretch your legs and take your dog for a walk.
The Riverfront Park is laden with easy, paved walking trails along the Broad River and the Historic Columbia Canal. Great place to enjoy nice weather and a breeze from the chilly water. There are several entrances, but the easiest to access is Laurel Street, and there is plenty of parking.
