Interesting castle,good guided tours

Ask to see the circular room upstairs, it has interesting acoustic effects, if you whisper something, a person on the opposite side will hear what you said. Also, interesting frescos in the lower rooms. The castle has now become a venue for cultural, artistic and musical events. It is large, massive and has a moat.

There are events on in the castle from time to time. We went to watch a ‘revival’ concert and the castle was lit up for the occasion. We ate in a trattoria just outside the castle which I will list.
