Take a picnic or use the BBQs provided, spot some wallabies (dusk and dawn is best), view the ocean and explore the Darwin War Museum. Great play area for kids.

Rent our cheap bicycles (15 Min.to East Point) and watch the wallabies (like kangaroos) in the morning or evening, while you are going for a walk. Combine that walk with a visit in the Military Museum

East Point Reserve (which everyone just calls "East Point") is at your doorstep. From the shops you can see the water, and the footpath outside the Cool Spot will lead you right there! If you are up for some exercise, East Point is THE place to run, walk and ride your bike, with paths of up to 7km loop from the unit. If you don't want to go that far, the Fannie Bay 'beach' (rocky cliffs, mostly!) is only a few hundred meters from the door, and you can stroll as far as you like or just enjoy sunset and come back again! Not far after you enter East Point from Fannie Bay (about 2km from the unit) there are free BBQs and playgrounds and exercise equipment if you are so inclined!

East Point Reserve is a special place for the people of Darwin and is one of the most popular recreation areas for both locals and visitors. Rich in history and biodiversity, East Point is easy to access and has an abundance of facilities and attractions for everyone.
