In the heart of the village of Vallorcine, at the bottom of the ski slope connecting the Col de Balme to Vallorcine you will find the Café-Comptoir. The "bistro" spirit of this restaurant in an old traditional chalet is a combination of authentic and contemporary. A bistronomic twist on classic Swiss and Italian cusine is what makes this place so special. If you are hiking or skiing up in Vallorcine for the day, please be sure to stop by Le Café Comptoir for a snack or a meal before you leave. Serves lunch and dinner. Great ambiance, with a distinct "transalpine" style, bringing the best from the French, Italian and Swiss alps. Fresh and elegant dishes as well as traditional cheesy fare with quality ingredients. Fantastic restaurant in the Vallorcine ski area. I always take the train or drive to Vallorcine to access the Balme ski area (rather than go to Le Tour). It's a little bit further, but the lifts are better here and there are a couple of really good restaurants for lunch during the skiing day.

Restaurant for lunch if you are skiing in le tour. It gets busy during lunch so be sure to reserve a table.
