Gardens, bandstand, children's fort. Many festivals and events held here. Quick route to Canterbury East station via Dane John Gardens. Access to city walls.

Picnic at Dane John Gardens. There you will find The Simmons Memorial where is very nice view of the Cathedral from the top. Also there is a lovely little Latino coffee/bar.

Nice for a short walk or football game. You can walk through the garden or along the top of Canterbury city wall. There’s a cute little coffee / tea shack half way through.

Dave John Gardens is something of a landmark for the city, and offers superb views over the surrounding historic homes and sections of the old city walls. There's also a lovely path that's lined by an avenue of lime trees, providing the perfect canopy for a break or a picnic.
