Symondsbury village is the quintessential English village with the added extras of a beautiful art gallery, restaurant, local produce shop, Health and beauty salon, independent jeweller, bike shop, pub, all at the foot of the iconic Colmers hill.

Take a walk up Bridport's land mark, Colmers hill then pop into the Symondsbury Estate cafe and shops for lunch or tea. Plenty of parking and dogs are welcome. The Ilchester Arms is also worth a visit.

This is a good base for a walk up Colman’s hill or into the holloways which are both a great walk. It’s got a lovely cafe, farm shop and home shop selling some lovely stuff. They also have a bike shop here where you can hire bikes for the day
