Ashokan High Point Trail is a 8.5 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near West Shokan, New York that features a river and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking, camping, birding, and backpacking and is best used from April until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Climb the mountain you see from the deck of the cottage. A relatively easy climb, and a great view of the Ashokan resevoir at from the top of the mountain...you have to walk downhill a bit from the apex and peek through the trees.
