If you look to the east from Pierce Point Ranch (and the weather cooperates) you will see High Tide Cottages and Farm on the opposite side of Tomales Bay. You may also hike to McClure's Beach (reasonably short hike west from the lower parking lot) or north to Tomales Point (a beautiful but tortuous (because you think you are almost there and then there's more) hike to the terminus of land that forms the West Shore of Tomales Bay. Leave early in the morning, bring lots of water, get a weather report and, as with all hikes above the bluffs, don't climb on the cliffs.

This is a great place to hike and you may see some of our local elk!! you can walk for 2-3 hours to reach the northern most point of the peninsula, with stunning views to the Pacific and Tomales Bay.
