I recommend Butte & Co at the base of the mountain for rentals of skis, boards, and more during the winter season. If you have any trouble with your rentals, they are right there to support you. (Much easier than walking or taking the bus to other locations.) They rent mountain bikes during the summer - Mt. Crested Butte is well known for its excellent MBT. If you are an expert and don't think you need base mountain support for your gear, check out our other recommendations.

Great ski gear, sweaters, hats, etc. Located on the mountain. For ski rentals, ask for Johnny or Red - tell them the Picketts sent you!

A full service ski and snowboard rental company in Crested Butte, Colorado with delivery service. Two base locations, one right at the base of Mt Crested Butte ski resort and our newest shop located in the Elevation Hotel & Spa on the 2nd floor provide excellent service.

Locally owned for 29+ years, Butte & Co. is the best place to get ski / snowboard rentals. They also offer a great variety of clothing and gear. Check out their summer time sales, the entire store is usually 50% off!
