Heraion was a magnet for ancient tourists especially women who visited a sanctuary dedicated to Hera the goddess for women in ancient Greece. The visitor can enjoy a unique totally unspoiled area. Perfect for enjoying history and totally unspoiled views. Perfect also for walks and uncrowded swimming.

The Heraion of Perachora is a sanctuary of the goddess Hera situated in a small cove of the Corinthian gulf at the end of the Perachora peninsula. You need 35 minutes easy drive to reach the site. Pay an extra visit to the Perachora Lighthouse (Melagavi) above the Sanctuary.
