This is the first mixed-race catholic church in the United States, founded 1842. This was also the church of the Venerable Mother Henriette Delille, potentially the first catholic African-American saint. The Sunday mass is a bit jazzier and upbeat than you might expect!

A shrine consisting of outsize marine chains welded together with shackles and iron balls to form a huge, fallen cross.
