One of my favorite restaurants in Algarve, situated in the green lush hills of Monchique. Some 15-20 minutes by car from Lagos in wonderful serpentine roads. Here I usually eat leg of pork or whole roasted lamb. Enjoy!

A bit far away but worths the visit if you'd like to taste real traditional food. The restaurant is run by a family, who serve the best local products in the most authentic way. You will have to cross the mountains up on the way to Monchique, which will allow you to enjoy amazing views.

The best Portuguese Piri Piri Chicken ! Drive the Costa Vincenta route, where you pass ghe Town of Alzejur. you can enjoy beautiful coastal views and see lots of Cork trees! Carry on up to Monchique Mountain after lunch to explore
