Masjid Gědhé Kauman Karaton Ngayogyåkartå Hadiníngrat is the grand mosque of the Sultanate of Yogyakarta, or the Great Mosque of Yogyakarta, which is located west of the Alun-alun Utara complex or just 2 minutes walk from 303stay. The Great Mosque of Kauman was built by Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono I with Kyai Faqih Ibrahim Diponingrat (the first kraton ruler) and Kyai Wiryokusumo as the architect.
