Mi Cayito

This is Havana’s gay beach, and it’s one of the best along the coast east of the city. Mi Cayito has clear waters, fine sand, and a cafe serving grilled food and refreshments. Also, it’s near the mouth of a river where you can rinse off the salt water if you’d like! It’s between Santa Maria del Mar beach and Guanabo, and a bit too hidden for a bus ride. Take a taxi—all the drivers know exactly where to go. Weekends are the best time to go, and the busiest.
