And be sure to stop at the Fort Rock Museum near the park. The Oregon Outback is a beautiful region.

Curious rock cliffs formed by volcanic gases escaping from the earth. Curious because it sits alone out in the middle of sage brush. Moderate hike to the top for a view of the plains.
