Albert Crosby grew up in Brewster, moved to Chicago where he made his fortune in distilling alcohol, and returned to Brewster with his young wife. In 1888 he built this monument to his love for her on the site of his original and modest boyhood home. The mansion features 35 rooms, 15 fireplaces and a 60 foot viewing tower.
