Big creek upper loop is a great nearby hike that offers scenic views. It is 4.3 mile round trip. It initially starts off as a flat route that weaves through the forest before arriving at a large bridge that crosses the creek. Uphill incline shortly after that. It is considered a moderate level hike.

4.8 mile loop trail with 1,100' of elevation. Lower elevation so great for days with weather. Relatively easy, wooded hike. Dog friendly. There is a connector trail to the Mt Ellinor hike if you want a big challenge. FQVQ+P7 Hoodsport, Washington
