The epitome of nature’s raw magnificence, Minyon Falls is an absolute must-see, whether it be from the lookout platform in Minyon Grass Picnic Area or by hiking the 3-4 hour walking track through the Nightcap National Park rainforest and taking a swim at the bottom. We recommend the latter, noting that some bushwalking experience is recommended and visitors should bring adequate water, sun protection, and suitable footwear.

A beautiful place to visit, please check that the track is open. Some repairs have been underway recently.

Fit hikers only. Start early in the day. Swim at bottom and at the top. Road there is narrow. Mere mortals can take in the splendid view of the falls just a few meters from the car park. 1hr drive from the B&b

A stunning waterfall and forest located a 30 min drive into the hinterland via the beautiful little village of Federal (with cafes etc). I go here to do the loop walk which starts at the top of the falls lookout and meanders down a well trodden track to the base of the falls. Bring your swimmers for a cool dip if feeling adventurous. Then the track leads back up to the Minyon Falls Grass Area. From here you need to walk along the road (watch out for passing cars) to get back to the top of the waterfall and carpark where you parked. Bring a picnic.

Great round walk down to the bottom of the falls. There are two ways to walk, or you can do a round trip. 1-4 hours round trip depending on route and speed. Some physical fitness required, and if it's been raining wear closed shoes and expect leeches.
