The largest landslip in the UK provides the landscape for a walk through successional plant communities, that harbour several rare and ancient indicator species including Dogs Mercury and purple gromwell. This is basically a really nice walk in a unique landscape. If you're thinking of walking parts of the coastal path then this is a good section to include. In addition it ends at Lyme Regis- prime dinosaur hunting territory! The Jurassic Coast. March- June is best for woodland birds, and March- May for wild flowers. There is no real seasonality to this site however it is prone to sea mist, and the path and steps can get slippery so best to avoid over the wettest months of the year.

A seven mile (approximately) walk which you can start from Foxhole and get the bus back to Axmouth or vice versa. You will need good walking boots and take plenty of drinks and food as there is nowhere to stop en route. Though a lot of the time you don't see the sea, this is an interesting walk. It takes you through the undercliffs where on 25 December 1839 there was a huge landslip causing great chasms.
