Hop on teh Blueridge Parkway which is less than 10 minutes away. Cruise down the Parkway and get ready for some beautiful views and hiking trails that you can access by parking in designated areas along the parkway.

Tons of trails, water falls, incredible views at overlooks both headed north toward Virginia and south toward Asheville and beyond). Some favorite spots to stop: Moses Cone Manor (includes a craft gift shop), Price Lake, Rough Ridge Lookout and trail, and driving over the Linn Cove Viaduct. www.blueridgeparkway.org/
