The is the name for the stretch of beach closest to you. It's the widest, and best part of Waikiki Beach. You can take surf lessons, watch a hula show in the evening, or just relax on the beach.

This highly popular beach is nicknamed “Kuhio Ponds” because the beach is divided by two concrete walls that stretch 40 years into the ocean. The result is a calm swimming enclosure that is ideal for children and families (or those who prefer calmer water). Lot's of options for surf rentals/lessons and umbrella/lounger rentals. Three popular landmarks are located here: the Prince Kuhio Statue, the Duke Kahanamoku Statue and the Stones of Kapaemahu.
