Wonderful museum honoring Jackson's own civil rights hero, Medgar Evers. Call ahead and reserve a tour. Lots of history to take in here.

This is the home where civil rights leader Medgar Evers and his wife Myrlie lived in the 60s. This is where Medgar was shot and killed by a white supremacist as he returned home from a meeting. The home is now a National historic landmark and a museum and living memorial to the sacrifices of the legacy of Medgar Evers. A must-stop for reflection. Tours are available through Tougaloo College a local HBCU.
