If you stay a couple of days in Trapani, then you should take some hours to go to the small and magic town of Erice. You can access the mount with the cable cars, which are usually open (not in January or if it's too windy). You can also go there by bus or car.

Here you can get the cable way to go to Erice and from there you can see al the view of Trapani, and Erice is a Suggestive Medieval city, I suggest to bring a jacket, becouse there is always cold
