Tugu Kunstring Paleis is a fine dining Batavian restaurant with some of the best achitectural and interior design. If you have Rp.800.000 to splurge on one meal you should try the Rijjsttafel Menu. They will serve you 8-10 dishes with the most unique ritual. They will play Batavian Music, 2 people will do a Batavian dance, and 2 more will come bringing your food in a big pot. When they arrive to your table they will ask you to dance with them. It is the only place in Jakarta where you could experience this kind of Royal service.

This restaurant is known for its very exotic ambience. It is hosted in a colonial building (a post office if I am not mistaken), but the interior is colonial and ethnic. Pricewise, it is very expensive. It is more a fine dine so the taste is not very authentic Indonesian.
