The Century Cinema is worth the trip to Clacton. I love this independent cinema that dates back to the Golden Age of cinema, the 1930’s. It offers great value tickets and is much loved by locals that fought to save it. Re-opened in 2013 by the Picturedrome Electric Theatre Company, they have preserved many of the original features but it now has two auditoriums that show the latest blockbusters using modern digital equipment. Reasonably priced food and drinks (including alcohol), comfy seats and Good disabled access.

Just an old fashioned cinema, with old fashioned ticket prices - £3! There are only two screens but it is perfect for taking the whole family without breaking the bank!

Probably the cheapest cinema in the country (£3.50-£4.50) but still showing the latest releases. Two screens: Screen 1 is big, screen 2 is smaller. Recently refurbished with brand new seating, screens and sound. Great venue with a vintage feel.
