We like to take a day trip to Playa Grande to surf, and eat lunch at the Hotel Las Tortugas for some great authentic Costa Rican cuisine.

I love this gem... a locals secret scene. The first spot built in Grande. The veranda for dining is lovely. Typical dishes served daily and you enjoy the wrap around deck for dining. Try the patacones with guacamole and a cerveza, or happy hour with Ceviche. You are also welcome to wonder up from the beach after surf to use the pool or hammocks if you are enjoying the restaurant. Rainy evenings we love to dine here... the ambiance is magic.
