Apple House - an exquisite bohemian retreat

Apple House is a quiet retreat where you can completely unwind. With beautiful changing views to the wildlife garden and pond, the kitchen garden and the hills beyond. Standing in the beautiful gardens of Hylands, a fine Arts and Crafts House, to the West of Kendal. It is decorated using quality local materials and skills of local crafts people. It is 12 minutes walk to Kendal town center's many independent shops, cafes and restaurants and 5 minutes walk to our local pub 'The Rifleman's Arms'.

Magical, grade II listed 18th century traditional Lakeland cottage set within 5 acres of woodlands, leading directly to 2 private beaches on Lake Windermere. Relax in a peaceful, natural environment, ideal for friends, families, wild swimmers, cyclists, paddle boarders, hikers and for cosy evenings by the fireplace. Separately charged are a luxurious hot tub, perfect after a hard days hike and a wood fired barrel sauna with cold shower. A tuck shop, art classes and treatments are also available.

Mister Hare's Cottage - beautiful Lakeland cottage

A stunning 200 year-old cottage located in the charming small village of Bouth in the Lake District, now a UNESCO world heritage region. Situated on a quiet country road and bounded on two sides by open fields, with grazing shire horses and Jersey cows, this is the idyllic country retreat. The cottage has been renovated to the highest standard whilst retaining all the charm of its period. The traditional village pub is a few metres away. Breathtaking natural scenery awaits you from the doorway.

This thoughtfully converted cottage aims to provide you with all the comforts of a loving home, but with an abundance of style that lets you know you’re being treated somewhere far away. The property is split up over three floors, with a bespoke kitchen diner on the ground floor, an open plan living room with window seats, a log burner and a modern tv for relaxing, then the top floor provides the bedroom with large en-suite style bathroom that’s quirkily decorated to offer a truly unique stay.

Located next to the owners’ home, but still maintaining solitude and privacy, the cottage is surrounded by open fields and is a haven for wildlife.

The Lady of the Lake Windermere

The Lady of the Lake is a cosy cottage with stunning views across Lake Windermere to the fells. The cottage provides the perfect base to relax and explore the Lake District and all it has to offer, from Horse Riding to Hiking, Boat Trips, Cycling and many more activities. The cottage has a private parking space, EV charger, shared private jetty, and is ideally situated just a 15 minute walk from Windermere train station and centre where you will find an array of shops and traditional pubs.

Wren Cottage, lake access, pet-friendly

Wren forms part of an old Mill now called Sunny Bank Mill Cottages. Next to pretty Torver beck, with frontage to the quiet western shore of Coniston Water, it’s the perfect place for a ‘get-away-from-it-all’ break. Wren is beautifully refurbished but retains lots of character. Surrounded by fantastic scenery you don't need to go far to enjoy the beauty of the Lakes. Stroll down to the lake to sit and unwind, walk up onto the Common for amazing views, or explore the lake and island by canoe.

A romantic, stylish and cosy cottage for two in the beautiful Lake District National Park, half a mile from the shores of Lake Windermere and a 20 minute drive from Junction 36 of the M6. We are dog friendly. Our 250 year old cottage features modern rustic decor, u/f heating, log burner, super-fast internet, Smart TV, Sonos sound system and a complimentary podPoint 7kw EV charger. There are many wonderful walks and bike rides available from the front door. Stays start Mondays or Fridays.

Listed Historic waterside - sleeps 14

Waterside house is an ancient farmhouse which sits in a large garden surrounded by fields and woodland, it has belonged to the Finsthwaite estate since it was build in 1580 . Its historical character is shown in the large fireplace and the beams, which add to the charm. Waterside is known as the home of the “Finsthwaite Princess”. who was the alleged illegitimate daughter of Bonnie Prince Charlie. She lived in three rooms on the first floor which were panelled out of scotch pine for her.
