I plan to serve or provide alcohol as part of my Experience - do I need to know about licenses or regulations for that?

In the Czech Republic, the purchase, sale, serving, and consumption of alcohol is strictly regulated. A person may not sell or provide alcohol without meeting the regular business licensing requirements as well as the special koncese license.

Additionally, there are other relevant regulations. Alcohol can only be purchased from registered persons, and it is required to keep good records of all relevant tax receipts. You can find more information about the registration here. All guests who plan to drink alcohol must be of legal drinking age (currently 18 years and above). Lastly, there is strict regulation and police control of public drinking. Therefore, all Experiences should comply with local municipal rules on where alcohol can be consumed.The regulations here and here provide further details on this subject. There are also restrictions on where alcohol can be sold. Selling of alcohol is only permitted in certain areas stipulated by the law, such as shops, restaurants, accommodation, refreshment stands, etc.

You should consult your local city authority or a legal advisor to find out about these regulations and the process you will need to follow in order to obtain the type of license which applies to the activity that you intend to provide.

Is there anything else I should think about?

Yes. You should be aware of the potential sanctions for selling alcohol without the required licenses. Those serving alcohol also must be above the age of 18. Selling alcohol to anyone who is under the age of 18 carries the risk of possible criminal penalties.
